The form of Mohamed Salah has to be the topic that leads the way ahead of discussing Egypt facing Cabo Verde in their first 2025 CAF Africa Cup of Nations qualifier. The Pharaohs are the seven-time and record winners of AFCON but did finish below their upcoming opponents in the group stages of the 2023 tournament earlier this year. Cabo Verde do still have an abundance of intriguing attacking talent of their own so will once again pose a threat to the Egyptians but the form of Salah makes Egypt favourites in a game in which both teams score looks solid.
