2025 Africa Cup of Nations Qualifying Group D: Nigeria vs Benin Prediction

PREDICTION

Under the management of Portuguese coach Jose Peseiro, Nigeria reached the final of the 2023 CAF Africa Cup of Nations earlier this year. However, the Super Eagles coach wasn’t overly well liked and he departed after the tournament with the Nigerian FA yet to replace him and the manager-less giants of African football have underwhelmed throughout the calendar year since then. They face their former coach, Gernot Rohr, who has started his reign in charge of Benin quite well – including a 2-1 defeat of Nigeria in CAF 2026 FIFA World Cup qualification over the summer. Given that, it could be a good value bet to side with Benin for this one.
