2025 Africa Cup of Nations Qualifying Group G: Ivory Coast vs Zambia Prediction

PREDICTION

At the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations in the Ivory Coast earlier this year, the Ivorians managed to somehow win the event. They appointed Emerse Fae mid-way through the tournament when group stage elimination seemed inevitable but a miracle propelled them through and then luck and late drama saw their run conclude with a defeat of Nigeria in the final. Zambia were the initiators of that miracle when they couldn’t score in their final group game and now, under the management of Avram Grant, they remain very defensive and reactive. Ivory Coast struggle for goals, too, so whilst they should come out on top it is expected to be a low-scoring affair.
