On the opening day of the season, Oliver Glasner’s Crystal Palace suffered a frustrating 2-1 loss to London rivals Brentford at the Gtech Community Stadium with Eberechi Eze wrongly having a free-kick ruled out. The Eagles soared last season after Glasner’s appointment and propelled themselves into the top-half but the departure of Joachim Andersen, after Michael Olise’s sale earlier this summer, will concern fans that more may yet be to come with a few days left of the summer transfer window. West Ham United come into this one on the back of a defeat on the opening day, too, in Julen Lopetegui’s first game in charge of the Irons. They were beaten 2-1 by Aston Villa with teething issues aplenty for the Hammers. With issues to sort for both, we have an entertaining affair at Selhurst Park in which both teams scoring seems a good bet.
