Under the management of former AFC Bournemouth boss Gary O’Neil, Wolverhampton Wanderers started the 2024/25 season with a 2-0 defeat at the Emirates Stadium against Arsenal. Wolves are a pragmatic and focused side with O’Neil showing he is able to limit good opposition as he did last year when they did the double over both Chelsea and Tottenham Hotspur as well as beating Manchester City. They now face a Chelsea side that defeated Servette by two goals to nil in the first-leg of their UEFA Europa Conference League playoffs in midweek but Enzo Maresca’s side are a mess in terms of their squad building and siding with Wolves remains a good bet for this one.
