Both of these sides suffered narrow defeats in their opening matches but will both believe they have an excellent opportunity still to progress in this competition. Poland were a rabble in qualifying but have been improved since the appointment of Michal Probierz. They took the lead against the Netherlands before suffering a 2-1 loss. Austria, on the other hand, were pressing very well and beginning to topple the French the other day before Max Wober’s own goal was enough to separate the two sides. Austria came into the competition with a better reputation and they did show signs of their impressive style of football. An Austrian win is the expected outcome of this one.
