PREDICTION

Romania qualified by winning their group unbeaten ahead of the likes of Switzerland and Israel. However, under the management of Edward Iordanescu, their squad is unspectacular and they scored just 15 goals in ten qualifiers with six of those goals coming against Andorra. Ukraine, on the other hand, needed the playoffs in March after narrowly missing out on automatic qualification in a tough group alongside the UEFA EURO 2020 finalists, England and Italy. Serhiy Rebrov’s side have an abundance of quality, especially in attacking areas, and are many people’s tips to be ‘dark horses’ at this competition. With La Liga’s top scorer up front, Artem Dovbyk, they really should get over the line and shouldn’t be worried too much in defence by what is a fairly blunt Romanian attack.
