Murat Yakin led Switzerland to an impressive, albeit flattering, 3-1 defeat of Hungary in their opening game of UEFA EURO 2024 before following that up by sharing a 1-1 draw with Scotland to all but secure the Swiss’ passage into the next phase of the competition. Repeating their goalless draw against France in the final group game of UEFA EURO 2016 in very similar circumstances to this one will suit them nicely. Germany have scored seven goals and collected six points in their opening two games and Julian Nagelsmann’s side will also likely be content with a low-scoring draw or win given the need to avoid injury but still maintain top spot ahead of the Round of 16 so under 2.5 goals seems a good bet for this one.
